On a recent Sunday afternoon, a Who’s Who of the sustainability and
local economies movement of Jefferson County came together to fill the Rose
Theater to watch a film and then went next door to the Silverwater Café to talk
about it at a marathon mixer. The organizers of the event, which included Local
20/20, the Chamber of Commerce, Team Jefferson, and the Main Street
Program, hoped the film and the mingling
that followed would spur innovation in the ongoing creation of a vibrant and
